End of Spring Break Week

Boy have we been busy with life this week. The boys have done so much this past week, it will be hard to get them back into the swing of things. Mommy was at an overnight women's conference in Greenville on Friday and Saturday. The boys were with Glenn for 2 days. The conference was good. We got to see Mandisa, from American Idol, in concert and she was unbelievable. It was GREAT!! We also got to see Mark Shultz in concert which was also a big treat. Some of the speakers we got to hear were Chonda Pierce, comedian who was hillarius as usual, Lisa Welchel from Facts of Life and Carol Kent who has an unforgetable testimony. The weekend was good and fun just to be away with the girls.
After church today, Will and mommy went to the BiLo Center to see the Doodlebops with friends Zonya and John Ayden. We had so much fun seeing them live. Well, not much more to share so I will leave you with what I have shared so far. I just thank the Lord that he has blessed me with such a wonderful and loving husband who is also a wonderful daddy and 2 beautiful and for the most part healthy little boys. By the way, I do have to take Eli back to the ENT this week to have his ears checked. Looks like we will possibly replacing tubes in his ears. He had them put in at 8 months old and apparently has lost one and the other is almost out and not working. I think that he may be in some pain these days. I will keep you all updated to what happens. Please just pray for us. I am hoping that Dr. Rust will try everything and hopefully see how he does through the summer before we jump to 2ns surgery. Oh well, God already knows what will happen so no need to worry. Leaving for now...............................

My Sweet Bunny!!

Mommy & Will at The Learning Express Easter Egg Hunt!!!

Loving My Life

Tonight I am sitting here thinking about how lucky that I am to have the life that I do. Don't get me wrong, I don't always feel that way. I am just thinking of all that I have to be thankful for and I am so content and feel so blessed. We had a wonderful Easter. The boys loved their surprise Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny (although Will's favorite quote of the day was "but I don't like it" when it came to the candy that he had in the basket. He is NOT a candy lover (except tootsie rolls) and the Easter Bunny did not put ONE tootsie roll in his basket. Eli could not get his candy chewed up fast enough before he was attempting to put another piece in his mouth. He is so like his daddy. Eli LOVES Peeps and you should see him eat them. We went to church all decked out in coordinating green clothes, which I did not plan. REALLY!! Then we had lunch with my mom and Joe and then went to Anderson to have dinner with the Powell's. We all had a ball there. The boys played with real bunnies, chickens (one was trying to lay an egg ALL day), a HUGE turkey & rode a tractor and a gator (or ALLIGATOR as our nephew Ethan calls it). The boys love being with their cousins and being able to run and get dirty. We also had an Easter egg hunt that they enjoyed. Tomorrow Glenn and I are taking the boys to Monkey Joes in Greenville to just spend the day together. Will loves to go and play there.
Well, I have added one picture with hopes of getting more on here. We'll see how that goes.

Moment Alone!

I thought that I would post while I had a few minutes by myself. The boys stayed with Grams and Papa last night which gave Glenn and me a "date night." We went to dinner and I attempted to do a little shopping but did not buy a thing. I did however shop Thurs. and Fri. during the day. I had a conference in Columbia and went down a on Thurs. to get a little shopping in. I found out today that our cruise has been cancelled. Oh well, things could definately be worse. I guess we will try and plan another trip for just the 2 of us. Well, I hear the boys now and I am so ready to hug and love on them so bye.........................................

TAG!!

Tag...
Tag...Here's how you play: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits or goals about yourself. At the end, choose people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment ("You're It") and to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. Since you can't tag me back, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can see your answers!

2. I LOVE to clean my ears.

These are the days!

Well, as I sit here and attempt to post this evening, Eli is laying at my side with passy in his mouth whining, whining, whining. Will is standing in the doorway of the kitchen pitching a fit for that PERFECT snack. "I don't want cookies, I don't want popcorn, I don't want......................" As I look up from the computer screen, they are BOTH now standing on top of the kitchen counter in the cabinet LOOKING for a snack. If you think that this sounds funny, you should SEE it. I had to go get Will early from preschool yesterday. They called and said that he was running a fever and that he was not himself. I immediately called the Dr. and got an appointment. Once I got him there he no longer had a fever, of course. However, after being checked, the Dr. felt certain that he has strep throat. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that I should be so thankful for normally healthy children, but I cannot seem to keep either one of them well. He does seem to feel better today. Oh well, one of the many joys of parenthood. Well, still no pics yet, but will try and get some on here soon. Later............................

Birthday Buzz!

Well, Eli's birthday party was a big hit. I think that everyone, including the adults, enjoyed the party. We had it at Aunt Suzy's dance studio and the kids got to dance, turn flips on the mats, play with balls and balloons and have cake and pigs-n-the-blanket with chips and salsa. We also had a pinata which all of the children enjoyed. It is so hard to believe that our baby is 2. We went for his 2 year check up this week and unfortunately both of his ears were red and Dr. Ergle put him on ANOTHER antibiotic. He said that if in 2 weeks it had not cleared up, he would send us back to the ENT. Lots of prayers for little Eli and his ears in the next couple of weeks. Will woke up this a.m. with a fever. Not really sure what is going on with him. Hopefully with Motrin and Tylenol, I can get him better. Glenn is fishing in a tournament on Lake Greenwood today with "The Small Timers" club. Hopefully he and Matt will do well and WIN!!! Well, not much else to share these days. Hopefully soon I can post some pictures along with my messages. If you are reading my post, please pray for Eli's ears to clear up and for Will's fever to go away. Thanks and God Bless!!!
